Street Division

The City of Cherokee Streets Division maintains about 41 miles of paved streets and two miles of unpaved streets, as well as the city's alleys. They also maintain the storm sewer system and check and clean out sanitary sewer lines.

Storm Sewer System

The storm sewer system collects surface and rain water that flows off each building, driveway, parking lot and street. This water is not treated, and flows eventually into the Little Sioux River.
