Water Rates:            $5.00 per month min. chg. (includes no water)
                                $2.00 per 100 cu. ft. (7.481  gal./1 cu. ft.)
                                $4.00 per month system maintenance fee

Meters are read monthly.  Water bills include monthly charges for water, sewer, garbage and landfill. 
Bills are sent out for Cycle 1 (primarily those residents east of Hwy. 59) on the last day of each month
and payment is due the 20th day of the following month.  Bills for Cycle 2 (primarily those residents
west of Hwy. 59) are sent out on the 15th day of each month and payment is due on the 5th day of
the following month.  There is a 5% penalty charged for late payments.   You may have your checking
account automatically debited for payment of your water bill, click here to download form, complete it
and sign it and mail or drop it off at City Hall.

A deposit of $100.00 is required for new service, unless the customer provides a letter of credit from
a previous utility provider, or has good credit with the City of Cherokee.

Lawn (outdoor watering) meters are available. Sewer charges are not calculated on water consumption
recorded on a lawn meter, and there is no minimum charge, you pay for only the water usage.   The cost
of the meter and installation charges shall be the responsibility of the property owner.  Contact the Water

Sewer Rates:              $ 6.37 per month minimum charge (if water meter is installed)
                                 $ 3.47 per 100 cu. ft. of water consumption

Landfill Rates:            $ 6.00 per month per household
Storm Sewer:             $ 3.00 per month per household 
System Maintenance:   $ 4.00 per month per household   (for the repair/maintenance of the water towers,)
