Special City Council Meeting
Cherokee Community Center, Cherokee, Iowa
September 12, 2007 – 5:30 P.M.
A special meeting was called to order on this date by
Mayor Henrich. Present:
Councilman
Varce, Mallory, Stieneke, Leach, Peck, Clerk-Treasurer Taylor.
Also present were
Greg Kooker of Cannon, Moss, Brygger & Assoc. and Duane Mummert.
Greg Kooker toured the community center with the council
and went over in detail what he is
proposing for improvements including heating, air conditioning, lighting, and
electrical work.
The council then toured the outside of the building where Mr. Kooker is
proposing new lighting,
a handicap accessible sidewalk from the lower level to the upper level and
removal of the
planter wall on the west side of the building.
Duane also pointed out that there is work to
be done on the exterior brickwork, lower level parking and lower level
entrances.
As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
